So much stuff happening these past few days that I really don't know where to begin; still, here goes... This past week I've been indulging in the usual last-minute rush to get my latest batch of stuff ready for Luis Drayton's PrettySick. I'm really pleased with the shit I've prepared for all my sickest sweethearts waiting out there in Wonderland; however, except to say that this morning, I finished the final feature, a fabulous cut-up of the legendary William S. Burroughs doin' his thang, I think I'll keep y'all waiting to find out what I've got in store for you this time round!
The really big news down here in White City, however, is that on Sunday, my wife, Pauline D and I were honoured to receive a state visit from none other than the wonderful Siobhan Curran, whose Tranniefesto must be one of the coolest (and best-known) sites in the entire tranniesphere! After we'd all had lunch together - chicken curry provided by Pauline - we spent the rest of the afternoon and evening discussing every subject under the sun: art, the internet, underground film; Six Inch Killaz and singer Jasmine Salome's final days; transsexuals, the tranniesphere, coming out to your family; the abundance of cool artists to be found on flickr, the abundance (or is it just a particularly loud-mouthed minority) of nutcase trannies on flickr; and oh G*d, a million other things besides! Was particularly innarested to hear about mutual friend Stephanie Delacey, who Siobhan had been to visit the day before... Anyway, by the time Siobhan left, my throat hurt from talking so much - still, we all had a real cool time; above is a photo taken by Pauline to document the occasion; and here you can see a photo taken by Siobhan of our cat Arnie...
Other stuff to report? Well, this past week, I've been privileged to receive a new flickr testimonial - from tranny Wiccan and very dear friend, Sky of Quakertown; also, Erika Baarova has just uploaded an incredible bunch of pics to her flickrstream; NowPublic have asked if they can use one of my "colours" images to accompany their story about the colour festival at the Bauhaus; and extremely sad to report, but it seems that Lawrence Miles' fabulously funny, wonderfully wise blog The Beasthouse won't be around much longer - better check it out while you still can... Anyway, that's all from me for now; but to sign off (just like some asshole TV presenter), here's the video punk-revolutionary rock group The King Cheetah created to accompany their song "Six Inch Killaz" - "a love letter from one group to another" - live at the Knitting Factory, Hollywood, California... Oh, and before I forget, you can find out more about The King Cheetah here and here. Say...did I recently say I didn't have a life and spent all my time lying in bed or sitting in front of my PC sweating? I take it all back...
